Arashi ni Shiyagare #039

Aired On: March 19th, 2011

I haven't actually watched this episode in full, until AnM released their subs today ^^; Well, when it was aired, I was busy with the charity fics, and only watched short clips from the variety shows. (Which is actually more than what I do now :p) Anyway, the guest in this episode is Sato Ryuta! I only remember seeing him in Bambino! and Kisarazu Cat's Eye, but I do like him a lot. For the omiyage, he brought strawberry daifukus, which looked so yummy... *gets hungry*

Aiba in M Girl (2011)

Sunday, December 4, 2011

I don't really make a habit of buying non-Sho (or the occasional Jun) magazines, since there's only so much money to go around :p But in the case of Aiba's new M Girl photo shoot, I just could not resist the pretty *_*

Arashi in the local papers again! This time MatsuJun's news on Lucky Seven, his upcoming drama with Eita and Oizumi Yo. (Which I'm totally looking forward to, btw ♥)

Yes, NST took the news from Tokyo Hive again, but this is way better than nothing :D

First of all, thank you Kishiko for taking the time to get me the pamphlets, and to even hunt down a copy of Meikyu Love Song for me! I really, really appreciate it.
Second - aren't they just gorgeous here? I really need to get on with flailing over the new AU cms. XD

Music Station 2011.11.11

To tell the truth, usually I don't download all the performances of the same song. It could be the fact that it's been awhile since they've had appearances in these shows (since Lotus was released waaaay back in January... was it January?), or the fact that I'm more into them than I used to be, or just the fact that I love this song a lot, but... yeah. Music Station, too. And they're just as awesome, here.

I haven't actually watched the talk part yet, but I'm loving "Meikyu Love Song" more every time I see them perform it. Okay, I'm really loving it more every time I hear it. But seeing them perform it? Makes me crave to see it live.... T_T

Music Lovers 2011.11.06

Sunday, November 13, 2011

Who hadn't been looking forward to the first performance of Meikyu Love Song? The best thing about Music Lovers, though, is that the talk part is always interesting, and it's always like a mini-concert, since they perform several songs. This time it's an Arashi drama theme, starting out with "Monster" (from Riida's Kaibutsu-kun), followed by "Beautiful Days" (Nino's Ryusei no Kizuna) and "Love Rainbow" (MatsuJun's Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku - hey, I remember the title!),  before - finally! - getting to "Meikyu Love Song" (Sho-kun's Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de, of course), and ending with "My Girl" (Aiba-chan's My Girl). I loved it all, and only wished that they showed more of the last song.

Arashi-more-1

It's hard to catch up with all the magazines that they've been in recently - I still have a stack of magazines yet to be bought at the office, and brand new ones still shrink-wrapped in my room. This, though, is one of my favourites. I always like MORE because they come with freebies, and the photos are usually nice. It's also one of the few magazines that Kinokuniya (KLCC) will definitely stock a lot of, because non-Arashi fans buy them as well. For most of the other magazines, you'd have to order them if you want to make sure you get a copy - the Japanese department tend to order very few copies, and they almost always sold or reserved out before they even hit the shelves.

Au-pamphlet-oct11

They're just on the cover for this one, but thought I'd post it anyway, because I really loved the AU cms. I even decided to get a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (same as the Xperia Acro in the pamphlet/cms) despite having planned to get an iPhone for so long - good thing, too, because I've always loved Sony Ericsson phones, which was why I waited so long before deciding on the iPhone in the first place. :p Yup. I love my phone a lot. Anyway, I received this pamphlet from Kishiko, so, Kishi-chan, thank you very much! ^_^

迷宮ラブソング PV + single

The first time I heard "Meikyu Love Song", I thought, hmm, okay. And that was it. I didn't have a strongly negative reaction, like a lot of people on tumblr seem to, but I wasn't all flail-y and saying it's their best song ever, either. It was a very typically Arashi song to me. It sounded like something they'd sing, definitely. Then, because it happens to be in my playlist, I heard it again. And again. And again. And I realise that I've been singing or humming it to myself while working, while waiting in line, while in the elevator, etc. It's completely stuck in my head, and the more I listen to it, the fonder of it I become.
Like Salwa had said, it's the new "Love Rainbow". Since that's how I felt when the Love Rainbowsingle first came out, too.

As for the rest of the single - I had bought the LE, which includes the PV and a pretty awesome booklet, so - no regrets. Even if the RE is practically like a mini-album of sorts, with all the extra songs. (Anyway, I plan to buy the RE next time I'm in Japan, where it'll be cheaper than purchasing it here. This is one of those singles that are worth having in both versions.) I don't dislike the coupling song for the LE, "Kienu Omoi", but it didn't really wow me, either. I downloaded the RE to give the extra songs a listen, and  together, forever is nicer than "Kienu Omoi", "Utakata" is so-so, while I absolutely loved the intro to "Wanna be".

They have arrived! Late, I know, but I got them for considerably cheaper than the other sellers I found, so I'm not going to complain XD. I only ordered the tote, the shirt, and the phone strap, because those were the items I wanted straight away, while I think I can wait for the other items in my "want" list. I really like this year's t-shirt the best, and I like the bag, although my favourite tote is 5x10's.

Arashian Eid Sleepover 2011

Saturday, September 17, 2011

The second of what may be an annual sleepover? This year we're celebrating Arashi's 5x12 anniversary as well as MatsuJun's belated birthday, since his birthday happened on Eid (Hari Raya) and we couldn't celebrate back then. This year is a lot more laid back than last year, with minimal planning (since there wasn't enough time to plan) - we started off watching various variety shows and played a sugoroku game that my sister helped me prepare. It's kind of funny because we used my D&D miniatures for our tokens, and our batsu games were kind of silly. Also we had a very interesting answer from Fatin when she landed on the "if two members starred in a drama together, who would it be and what would the drama be about?" square. Her drama would be a love story, a tearjerker, and a comedy, if it ever became real. ^^

JAL Aki Tabi CM

Sunday, September 4, 2011

I've watched the CM more times than I could count now. It was just funny watching Riida getting his perv on, and Aiba checking in with a lobster. Somehow it didn't seem out of place at all, Aiba checking in with a lobster. (There must be something wrong with me XD) The randomness made me think of the Android AU CMs where Riida mistakes various objects as his phone. Is it just me, or is he getting cuter the older he gets?

(Same goes for MatsuJun, the recent birthday boy. Well, same goes for all of them, really.)

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #034

Friday, September 2, 2011

Aired On: May 28th, 2007

The guest in this episode is Suzuki Anne - Ogura-san was really excited to find out that it's an actress. Since she had acted with both Nino and Jun before, Sho asked about her impressions of them. She said that Nino seemed like the type who doesn't think of anything, in the sense that he follows his intuition. Jun, on the other hand, seemed to emit a "hard" aura, like he wants to tell people to stay away. She added that at times he's also really nice, to which Sho commented, "he's the tsundere type, isn't he?" and she immediately agreed.

I've only seen the mannequin five of this episode before, so it's the first time I'm watching the full version. The guest is Yoshitaka Yuriko, who acts with Nino in GANTZ - I love her! I would ship her with any of the members, really, but especially Ohno after watching this episode. But first - Sho-kun. Because he's the most unsold mannequin, he went shopping and clothes coordinating with VERBAL-san before the show, and came to the show wearing this "machupichu" get-up. It's hilarious!

My brother came back from Sapporo a couple of months ago, but then he was in Singapore (where he lives) and went to Brussels and last weekend he finally came down to Malacca where he passed me these! (And BUMP OF CHICKEN's smile single, which, if I ever get my assignments done, I will translate and post in my LJ <3) An early birthday present, he said. Technically he still owes me Wii Sports Resort from my last birthday, but with such great gifts as these, who's counting? ^^

Now the only album I'm missing is the obvious one (Arashi No. 1 Ichigou..), so I'm starting to collect the singles.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #033

Monday, July 11, 2011

Aired On: May 21st, 2007

The guest this time is TOKIO's Kokubun Taichi! To tell the truth, the first thing I thought when watching this again is, "wow, he looked so young...", haha. ^^;; I always love it when any of the JE senpais or kouhais appear on Arashi's shows, despite not really being a JE fan in general (I only really like Arashi). This is because their interactions with other Johnnys are always amusing to watch, I suppose.

Anyway, Kokubun Taichi's request for the audience is to find different kinds of salads from all over the world. I was so relieved with this request, really - vegetables should be safe, right. Right? Not that it's not interesting to see them eat weird food, but as an animal lover, some of the episodes were just painful to watch. (I'm still a bit traumatised from the sparrow.) These salads were introduced by women from the respective countries - the first being from Belarus, a salad made of beets. Next is a Bulgarian salad served with Sirene, a cheese that was marinated in saltwater. I'd like to try this someday! Then, Paumid salad from Costa Rica, made from the core of palm trees. I didn't even know that they could be eaten. I love Kokubun's reaction - "kore wa zenzen oishii desu ne!" I suppose the usage of zenzen+something positive wasn't so all over the place back then since it still jarred to Jun and was highlighted in the tv text. Although I seem to remember everyone speaking that way back then. I know this is completely off-topic, but this really brings back memories.

I really shouldn't be posting when I don't have much to say, but I love these CMs so much! Haven't seen all of them yet, but Riida really awes me in the ones I've seen. His expressions! XD The Juntoshi ones are some of the best, but my absolute favourite so far is the Omatase ad. I think Riida is now officially my current #3. Neen

The unofficial. Got this notebook at the Malaysian screening/Nino's birthday celebration. It actually has the words "Malaysia 10-11 Dome Screening" or something like that on the back.

Goods

Well, my DVD has finally arrived! The unofficial photobook is basically the only one of the 10-11 concert that I could find. Jun's anan was something I had been looking forward too, and the cuteness does not disappoint. I still miss the NatsuNiji Jun, but I'm liking his current hair a lot, too.

10-11 Scene Dome DVD, thoughts and flailings

Monday, June 20, 2011

I'm glad that they did some of the things that they did at the Tokyo Dome concert, because I really wanted to see Aiba sing Ohno's intro to "kotoba yori taisetsu na mono", not to mention Jun's "yonda? yonda?... kichatta..." part in during the encore. Somehow while it was playful and teasing during the Tokyo Dome show in this one it's kind of swoon-worthy, with him speaking in double entendres.

Of course the Aimiya is precious, especially with Nino tearing up Aiba's shirt - I saw a picture of Aiba with the torn shirt in an unofficial photobook and was wondering how it happened; now I know XD - and him not wanting to sing their "new song", Lu-tas.

I love Sho's performance of "T.A.B.O.O." in this DVD so much more than the Koku one, because he seemed more loose and relaxed. "Come Back To Me" and "Magical Song" were also better in this concert, I think, although I may prefer watching the Koku version of "1999*4##111 " just because of the part where Nino waddles up the stairs like a cute penguin. (He does that in this one, too, but the camera angles were better in the other.) Sho's rap scenes in "Believe" and "Still" and "Mada Ue wo" makes me fall for him all over again (and then spoil it by looking at the new Jun anan and saying "oh, do I have a new ichiban?" XP) and... yeah. This DVD is pretty much amazing. Even without the extras, it would have been.

But, oh, what kya-worthy extras. The training camp is so full of Sakumoto win. And even if you're not a Sakumoto shipper, Evil!Jun + Fail!Sho is always a good thing. I'm actually impressed of and scared for Sho in this one, because, you know, when it's happening to you it's not funny at all. It really is scary. Terrifying, even. The fact that he managed to go through it, and laugh at himself about it, is really... I don't even know what to say. This is why I love this guy. Their sleeping arrangements was also perfect for me, since it has all my favourite pairings - Aimiya, Sakuraiba, Sakumoto, and Juntoshi. I swear, this training camp is so full of fodder for fics. Jun in his glasses and pyjamas? New thing to be shipped by me. Makes him look kind of like an ossan, but a really cute one.

I love so many things about the DVD, really. The jacket-making, the PV-making, were both lovely to watch, and Aiba in particular is so very pretty in them. The solo interviews were precious. (What Sho said about Jun! What Oh-chan said about Jun!) The training camp, their BBQ session, Aiba not wanting to give up but learning to give up, them basically acting like family with each other... it really warms my heart. The song that they recorded is probably going to be my one of my new favourites, and Sho playing the piano (two things I love, together) is perfection. Well, really when I listened to Sho, I kept hearing the off-key parts more than the prettiness of it (but it is a pretty song, and Sho did well, considering) but my favourite part is watching the rest watch him.

How can anyone not think Ohmiya are cute, seriously.

The way he's looking at Sho.

The way he's looking at Sho!

The way these two are in a world of their own XD

In conclusion, this DVD is absolutely, positively worth buying, and I can't wait for my copy to arrive.
